Some of these photos were taken in September of 2014 when the water had dried up quite a bit by that time in the year. Other photos were taken in July of 2017 when it was wet and reflects what can be seen that time of year. It is a beautiful place with some nice walking trails that include the necessary boardwalks for such a normally wet place.
The Pickaway Trail and Calamus Swamp actually have a physical connection. Columbus Audubon’s Calamus Swamp borders State Route 104 and PCPD’s Pickaway Trail. Below is a photo gallery of Calamus Swamp and in the set of photos you will see where and how to get up to the trail with some steps.
