The Roundtown Trail Groundbreaking Ceremony gave us the story of how this wonderful trail came to be. Although it doesn’t cover all the speakers that presented this day in history, you will hear who all were involved and see some of who attended the ceremony. Congratulations to all who were and still are involved with this endeavor that has turned out so fantastic.
The Roundtown Trail is a beautiful 10 foot wide paved trail that runs between the Pickaway County Family YMCA and Ohio Christian University in Circleville, Ohio in Pickaway County. It is approximately 1.48 miles in length and runs along a couple of streams in areas and wooded boundaries with farmland on it’s northern boundary. Birders might be surprised how many different species can be seen on it as they hike. The asphalt pavement provides a wonderful surface for walking, bicycle riding, roller-blading the whole length of the trail. Those who are wheelchair bound or use walkers can enjoy this wonderful trail as well and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. A round-trip from either the east starting at Ohio Christian University or from the west from the YMCA provides close to a nice 3 mile pleasant journey.
