Stages Pond is now cared for by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) They have been in the process of removing some of the non-native invasive plants that have shown up throughout the 178 acres of deciduous woodland and fields. The Kettle Lakes provide beautiful memorable scenery. Some of these gallery photos were taken in 2011 after a July storm passed through. It shows some of the work that has to be done by our park Rangers. Please be aware that pets are not allowed and there are no public restroom facilities. WINTER BIRDING HIKE Jan. 16, 2016
Winter Birding Hike, 9am-Noon - Join staff for a winter hike to learn more about the birds wintering at Stages Pond. Dominated by glacial geology, the 3.5-mile trail system is mostly flat for easy hiking. Please dress appropriately for winter weather. Some areas of the trail will be wet; waterproof or water-resistant footwear will be most comfortable. Meet at the large parking lot in front of the office. We will have refreshments after the hike; please bring your favorite hot chocolate mug and spoon so we can limit waste. Call or email Preserve Manager Jim Osborne if you have questions: email@example.com, (740) 380-8918.
