The Pickaway County Park District is now taking applications for our 2025 Park and Trail Improvement Grant. Since 2015 the Park District has awarded over $600,000 to support 66 local park and trail projects here in Pickaway County. For the 2025 grant cycle, the Park District has allotted $100,000 to support Pickaway County’s local park and trail projects in the 11th round of Park and Trail Improvement grants.
For 2025 the Park District is accepting applications in three categories: Master Plan Creation, Master Plan Improvement or Park & Trail Improvement. Applicants that have previously completed a park Master Plan are eligible to apply for the Master Plan Improvement category to fund a project from their Master Plan. Applicants may submit applications for both the Master Plan Creation and the Park & Trail Improvement Grant within the same grant cycle. Applicants submitting projects under both grants will be required to identify their priority project.
$15,000 will be dedicated for the creation of local park Master Plans, $15,000 for Park & Trail improvement grants, and $70,000 will be specifically dedicated to Master Plan Improvement projects. Please note that this will make this year’s grant cycle very competitive and not all projects may be funded.
