The PArk District, in partnership with the County Library is applying for Grant funds for an exciting new addition: a permanent Storybook Trail at Metzger Preserve in Williamsport! This innovative concept combines the joy of reading with the beauty of nature, providing an enriching experience for visitors of all ages. We need your input to make this vision a reality. Why a Storybook Trail?
A Storybook Trail is a creative way to promote literacy, physical activity, and a love for the outdoors. Pages from a children’s book are displayed along a walking trail, allowing families to read a story together while enjoying a walk in nature. It’s an engaging and educational activity that supports community wellness and fosters a connection to the environment.
