The District is pleased to announce Marie Wilbanks’ appointment as a new Pickaway County Park Board Commissioner, effective January 1, 2024. Maria is the newly appointed Superintendent for the Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities. She has 18 years of experience in the field, including as the Director of Board Services for the last 12 years. She is very involved in her community and serves in a number of leadership roles on various boards and committees including with Circleville Sunrise Rotary, CASA, and the Visitor’s Bureau. She is also passionate about accessibility and supports for those with disabilities and is active in a variety of workgroups and leadership roles with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and the Ohio Association of County Boards. She and her husband and children are outdoor enthusiasts with a particular interest in birding and hiking all the local trails.
